Bird Scene Exercise After viewing a couple of tutorials on how Flash works, I practiced by creating a very short clip of a bird flying across my scene. The program is a little tricky, but as I practice, I am getting more comfortable with it. In my scene, it is a calm sunny day. I thought it would be cool to make the sun rise. At the beginning of the scene it is darker; as the movie progresses the sun rises and the scene gets brighter.

Morphing/ Shape Tweening In this exercise, I practiced learning how to morph one shape (or text) into another shape. For this assignment, I had to do a count down starting at five. I found out that I am able to morph one colour into another. I added a simple sound effect that made it somewhat like a countdown.

Ball Bounce In this assignment, I had to take what I learned from the tutorials and make a ball bounce with sound effects, along with a play/replay button. I added a play button to all my animations because I disliked how they movie clips would all play at the same time when I opened my website. I do not want my website viewers annoyed. Instead of doing a simple ball that is a solid colour, I challenged myself by creating a baseball. I had to create a movie clip out of the baseball to make it spin and look realistic. I would like to try something a little bit more difficult by making someone hit the baseball with a bat.

Banner Assignment |
For this assignment, I had to create a flash ad for a company, product or organization. I chose to do an ad for the "Stop Smoking" organization. This was the first time I worked with Flash. I did not like the program at first because I was very uncomfortable with it. I faced difficulties while doing this banner. I could not find the exact sounds that I wanted. A lot of the work I did was drawing and sketching, which took quite a bit of time. I feel that I solved many problems while doing this assignment and gained more knowledge from working on Flash. Even though my banner looks like a "beginners work," I hope you enjoy and can understand the message!
